Terms of service
Surf PDF Terms of Service
Applies to version 1.0 build 10 and later using the server ledger, from the date those builds become available.
Operator: TIFON

1. Service and scope
Surf PDF edits PDFs and images, recognizes text and exports documents on iPad. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to the app license. These terms supplement service conditions such as pricing and support and do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
Apple Standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
2. Free use and exports
OCR, text editing, previews and project saving/loading are free. Exports containing up to 50 pages are free three times per day. Daily allowances reset at midnight Korea Standard Time on the server and do not roll over. Usage is shared across devices signed in to the same Surf PDF Apple sign-in account. Changing the device date does not grant extra allowances. Exports require sign-in and a server connection.
For 51 pages or more, or after the day’s three free exports, credits equal the total exported page count divided by 300, rounded up. These exports do not consume a free allowance. A fourth 49-page export costs one credit; a 708-page export costs three credits.
Allowances or credits are deducted only after a successful file save. Generation failures, save failures, cancellations and previews do not incur deductions. Saving the same document again is a separate export. Operations crossing midnight belong to the date the export began.
3. Credits and rewarded ads
Korean launch target prices are KRW 1,000 for 10 credits, KRW 2,000 for 22 credits and KRW 3,000 for 36 credits. US target prices are US$1, US$2 and US$3 respectively. Actual local prices and currencies are shown by Apple before purchase. Payments use Apple in-app purchases.
Rewarded ads are optional. One completed ad earns one credit after the provider confirms completion and the credit is stored successfully. Temporary storage or synchronization failures retain the reward processing ID locally for retry. Contact support if processing remains delayed. Interrupted or failed-to-load ads do not earn rewards. An earned reward remains even if a later export is cancelled. If no ad is available, you can use free allowances or existing credits.
Credits do not expire, are used only for PDF exports in the app, and cannot be transferred to others or exchanged for cash. Refund rights under applicable law and Apple policy remain protected.
Apple offer codes may grant the specified credit amount or subscription discount/free period. Eligibility, region, expiry, redemption limits and benefits follow Apple’s redemption screen and conditions. Used or invalid codes do not apply. Credits redeemed by code follow the storage and recovery terms below.
4. Monthly unlimited subscription
Monthly unlimited renews automatically each month. The Korean target price is KRW 2,900 per month. During an active subscription, exports do not use free allowances or credits and do not require ads. OCR remains free without a subscription. Ad reward earning is disabled during the subscription.
Cancel renewal in your Apple account subscription settings. Check Apple’s screen for the exact renewal date, price and cancellation timing. Documents and unused credits remain after the subscription ends.
Automatic renewal at the regular price after a code’s free period depends on the offer. Review Apple’s renewal terms and price before redemption.
5. Storage, purchase restoration and refunds
Credits and purchase/usage history are stored in a Firebase server ledger managed by TIFON. Sign in to the same Surf PDF Apple sign-in account to access the balance, regardless of iCloud membership. Your App Store purchase account may differ from your Surf PDF account; purchases are credited to the Surf PDF account linked at purchase time. Balances from different accounts are not merged arbitrarily.
Purchases, rewards and exports pause when transaction verification, reservation or settlement is unavailable. OCR and editing remain available. Purchases are finished after successful server recording so interrupted transactions can be checked again. Already-granted and spent consumable purchases are not reissued solely from purchase history. Legacy device/CloudKit balances are not merged automatically without reliable purchase and usage evidence; contact support.
Export cost is reserved at the start and finalized after confirmed saving. Failed, cancelled or interrupted operations with an unconfirmed save do not incur deductions. Retries use the same operation ID. Unfinished reservations expire after 24 hours and are released by cleanup. If server confirmation is delayed after saving, the app may show a pending status. Reconnect rather than purchasing again. Apple/Google verification or network delays may delay rewards and recovery. Contact support for persistent issues; statutory remedies are not limited.
If an Apple promotion or legacy transaction cannot be linked automatically to the signed-in account, automatic granting stops and support is offered. We review purchase evidence without requesting account passwords or payment card numbers.
Request refunds at https://reportaproblem.apple.com, subject to Apple review and applicable law. Verified refunded grants are reversed. Refunded credits already spent may be offset against later credit additions. You may dispute erroneous deductions through support.
6. Document rights and checking results
You must have the lawful right to process your documents. The app does not acquire ownership. OCR and automatic correction may contain errors; compare important results with originals and retain separate original files. PDF/A output is the limited image-based format described by the app; acceptance by every institution is not guaranteed.
7. Privacy and support
Information processing and support transmissions follow the privacy policy. Support logs reach the operator only when you actually send the email. Do not attach unnecessary document content.
Privacy policy: https://www.new-splash.com/privacy
8. Changes, responsibility and disputes
Changes to prices or terms are announced in advance in the app or on the website. Material adverse changes are clearly disclosed before taking effect. Changes affecting purchased credits follow applicable law. These terms do not exclude all responsibility for the operator’s intentional acts, negligence or statutory liabilities. Contact support first for disputes; jurisdiction and remedies follow applicable law.
